Lingerie and cupcakes have Becca Lane living the sweet life in New York City—until the call that sends her home.
Heartland Cove may sound endearing, but it’s a small town, in the middle of going-nowhere that Becca couldn’t wait to leave behind. She arrives to find mother acting strange, the family business in peril, and the town in dire straits. What to save first? Worst of all, Jebson Jefferies, Becca’s former fiancé, a man she could happily live without ever seeing again, has been elected mayor and is threatening, not only the future of Heartland, but Becca’s family legacy—and all she stands to inherit.
Not that she ever wanted to. It’s ... complicated.
Trent Nash is a former football star— a displaced Aussie with a big secret. He’s escaped to small-town Heartland Cove to start a new life—determined to remain incognito. But just when he thought he’d pulled it off, a sassy redhead walks through his door of his struggling restaurant…and right into his heart.
Becca; however, has no interest in him. She’s too busy trying saving the day. Until she realizes, she can’t win the crusade without the help of the beautiful, bronzed stranger she’s grown to hate. Maybe deep down, what really needs saving has less to do with Heartland, and more to do with Becca’s heart.
Jules Bates is a fish-out-of-water in conservative, small town, Heartland Cove. A modern girl with modern dreams that have so far taken her all the way to father’s bait shop at the end of town. There, she spends her days, elbow-deep in worm dirt. She can’t remember the last time she’s been on a date, or dressed in anything but a lumberjack shirt and hip waders. Her life seems to be at a stalemate. It’s like her best friend said, “The perfect guy isn’t just gonna walk in here and sweep you off your feet, you know?”
Or is he?
Jayden Sievert is on a mission, to solve the mystery of his life. But first he needs to track down a ghost. One in particular. The legend of Heartland Cove. Arriving in the small town, with his ghostbuster wannabe equipment in hand, he purchases the Caldwell place, much to the horror of the townsfolk—a stately Georgian Manor overlooking the sea, with a less than pleasant past. No one’s been brave enough to set foot in that place for over a decade.
Is this man mad? Or perhaps just a little crazy?
Jayden ignores them all. He knows the key to his success lies in his ability to minimize distractions, but then he meets Jules. Could she be the answer to the long-buried secret that Jayden’s spent a lifetime searching for?

But living in darkness is nothing new to Eyelet. She’s hidden her secret affliction all of her life—a life that would be in danger if superstitious townspeople ever guessed the truth. Losing him would make her overcast world one shade darker…
Navigating her way through nightmarish lands devoid of sunlight, Eyelet Elsworth races to free her beloved Urlick Babbit, the first person to understand and accept her—differences and all. Framed for murder and sentenced to execution, Urlick is running out of time. And the Commonwealth’s tyrannical new ruler, Penelope Rapture, is strangely eager to speed up the clock.
Aided by a band of unusual yet loyal associates, Eyelet stumbles upon a startling rumor. And as she unravels a secret that could challenge Penelope’s claim to the throne, Penelope vows to divert Eyelet’s journey—straight to a dark and deadly end.
In Noir, the second thrilling addition to Jacqueline E. Garlick’s Illumination Paradox series, familiar friends struggle against new and old enemies, shocking secrets come to light, and the truth that could save this captivating steampunk world is revealed…if it doesn’t destroy everything first.
With Eyelet's fate hanging in the balance, newly proclaimed Ruler Urlick Babbit, struggles to contain his emotions, and fights to maintain power over the frightened and questioning subjects of the Commonwealth.
Their Ruler, it seems, has gone into what some call, hiding, whilst an ever-increasing, unexplained drape of toxic pollution invades the city, and mind-sucking demons patrol the gates.
It is rumored the ruler has lost his mind. Embraced the ideologies of a rogue, nomadic sorcerer, over the logic of age old medicine, entrusting his beloved Eyelet, solely into his care.
What is happening to Brethren? Where is the new Ruler? Why won't he address his people? And what of his fallen, soon-to-be queen bride?

Ever wonder why some books just hit it? How they land on the bestsellers' list and seem to stick there forever? Chances are it has to do with unforgettable characters. In this book I show you how to ensure you've created a well-rounded cast of loveable, unforgettable characters, using what I call...my own special magical Character OZ-Ation Model..
What can I say? I love to write. I write every single day. When I'm not writing, I'm reading, or learning something new to incorporate into my business. (Yes, I run my own business...and love every minute of it!) My favourite moments in writing, are when the characters come to life in front of me and start arguing with me on my desk. I love when scenes download that way. Just like a movie. I call it being in the zone. Only trouble is, when I get in the zone, I can't get out of it. Once I'm in, I swear a bomb could go off and I wouldn't notice. Thus, children are sometimes left at school, and I'm notoriously late for everything. But just think what wonderful creations I'd miss out on if this weird phenomenon didn't exist in me!
